We need to move our city off of harmful and polluting gas and create a new energy economy. This year, Mayor Bowser’s budget proposes a complicated and sneaky gimmick (as reported in the local press) that could dramatically destabilize DC’s solar market, take thousands of dollars out of the hands of DC residents, faith institutions and businesses, and ultimately set up a circular scheme that pays DC’s own gas and utility bills.
